I made this with the following additions/subs: added 1 pack of Splenda to no sugar added pie filling (diabetic), brushed with vanilla almond milk instead of egg (I’ve always used egg before, but wanted to test using a milk wash). They turned out great! I’ve made hand held pies in the AF before, but always had a problem with a soggy bottom crust. I now have an AF with shelves, and the additional air circulation seems to help. I’m going to get some turbinado sugar for the next time. These were so easy to make and turned out just lovely!
